How To Fax Internationally
The process for faxing internationally is nearly identical to the process for faxing nationally – except for one small detail.
When you send a fax, you address it to a fax number. That fax number includes the country code ( like “+61” for Australia), the area code (like “3” for Melbourne) and the recipient’s local number (like “9998 1823”).
To fax outside of Australia, you simply need to string together the country code, area code and the local number of your recipient. For example, to send a fax to a recipient in Kuala Lumpur, you would take the country code “60”, a local area code “3” and the recipient’s number (like “339 2991”). Together, that gives you: “6033392991”.
Online Fax Benefits and Features
Online faxing is a revolutionary technology that allows Australian businesses to send and receive faxes from anywhere – but that’s not the only benefit.
Online faxing is significantly cheaper than traditional faxing. While businesses must shill for paper, toner, maintenance and line fees to run a fax machine, online faxing costs no more than a subscription fee. Traditional fax machines are also office-based, making them less efficient and secure. With online fax, your fax is instantly and safely delivered to your recipient’s inbox.
With an online fax provider like eFax, online faxing is also enhanced by features like:
Pre-formatted fax templates | Free cloud-based storage |
Digital signatures | eFax’s MS Word compatible app |
Fax preview | The document converter |
The Tag and Search function |
Online faxing also allows you to fax to multiple people simultaneously and send files up to 3GB each.
