With eFax Corporate, you can simply sign fax documents electronically without having to physically print, sign and scan back. The eFax Mobile App lets you easily sign fax documents by applying your saved signature or simply signing using your finger. The eFax Messenger app allows you to apply your saved signature or sign using a stylus. You can create and store multiple electronic signatures in your eFax account, which you can use anytime to sign a fax.
A copy of the fax containing your electronic signature will be saved to your Signed Docs folder in eFax Message Center, for future retrieval. The unsigned version will remain in its original form in your Inbox.
In general, the answer to this question is yes. Nowadays, it’s universally agreed that a document cannot be denied legal enforceability solely because it is in electronic form. Electronic and digital signatures carry the same legal weight as paper documents with physical signatures.
However, there are certain rules and regulations depending on where in the world you are. Current NSW legislation, for example, only recognises digital and e-signatures if both parties to the contract have consented to the use of such signatures, and if the method used for signing is deemed entirely reliable.
If you want to create your own bespoke Electronic Signature which can be used as your default, all you have to do is take a photo of your existing hand-written signature and store it online (like in a cloud-based storage system for example). Then you can simply drag and drop your electronic signature stamp onto any digital fax document and you’re done!
If you would like to sign your signature electronically via your mobile smartphone or tablet without the need for accessing your traditional written signature, eFax Corporates new ‘sign on screen’ functionality allows you to sign your documents directly on your device’s screen using either your finger or a stylus as if it were a traditional pen or pencil.
